Code Te Ching - Verse 11

A wise man once said:
Every good work of software starts by scratching a developer's personal itch.
That is to say: necessity is the mother of invention.

Leather is sewn to make a shoe.
    The shoe’s use comes from the foot-shaped hole.
Clay is formed to make a mug.
    The mug’s use comes from emptiness.
Electron is used to make a one.
    The one’s use comes from zero.

The zero is contained by one;
The one is defined by zero.

Lao Tzu thus said:
    Having leads to profit.
    Not having leads to use.
